Saturday 12 July 11:00 - 12:00
Panel Maison des Associations de Strasbourg

Festival directors, musicians and programmers in jazz today: what strategies can be used to assert one’s artistic vision and creative freedom?

While the jazz scene is gradually moving toward greater gender balance, this shift is driven not only by growing collective awareness and action, but also by the individual journeys of women who are paving new paths.

As artistic project leaders whether as programmers, directors or musicians the speakers in this roundtable will share their reflections on the challenges they have faced, as well as the strategies “conscious or unconscious, collective or individual” they have developed to claim a space in artistic creation long dominated by men.
