Najate Zouggari, sociologist, published in January 2024 the biographical essay «Davis» (éditions Les Pérégrines, collection & Icônes ). 

Known for her political commitment, notably as a member of the Black Panthers, Angela Davis is also the author of Blues et feminime noir, offering a feminist and political reading of black music from the 1920s to the 1940s.
Davis meets Nina Simone, an unforgettable artist of 20th century soul and jazz music, when she visits him in prison.  Crossed portraits of two free women, discredited for their radicalism, before being rehabilitated as essential figures of modern culture and the struggle for civil rights.
